It’s official: Apple is now the coolest brand in the UK having disposed of Aston Martin which had previously been the coolest brand – a position it has occupied for the last six years.
Apple has always been cool, and just about everything they make is cooler than the competition. For instance the Apple Mac is considerably cooler then Microsoft Windows based PCs; you don’t need to ask why – it simply is.
But what has elevated Apple to its current position as top seller in shops like Dialaphone.co.uk is the iPhone. Ever since the original iPhone was launched it has set the bar for style; even if some competitors’ handsets have beaten it in terms of performance none have come even close in terms of style. But the new iPhone has risen to the bar taking it to new heights.
The iPhone 5 is thinner by 1.4 millimetres; has a bigger and brighter display which is a full half inch larger; incorporates a microprocessor which according to bench tests makes it run twice as fast as the previous model and fractionally faster than the top of the range Android phone; has 4G connectivity along with a host of other enhancements is the coolest of all. In fact it is so cool that is could freeze your hand or at least raise goose bumps along your spine.
There is one small reservation however and that is with the mapping app. Apple no longer bundle Google Maps with the software; instead they use their own cloud based mapping service. Unfortunately there are a number of flaws, which hopefully are just teething problems. For instance although it apparently works fine in the US, in the rest of the world it has a few problems. In the UK many towns are in the wrong place and some, such as Stratford on Avon have disappeared altogether. Greenland seems to have drifted away from its usual position and is now located in the Indian Ocean.
No doubt Apple will soon fix these problems and they haven’t stopped people queuing all night to get their hands on what must be the coolest phone yet.

Hi,
Apple is new coolest brand in the U.K. It’s designed so beautiful and Maps changes the way you see the world. It doesn’t support the Google Map and software. It launches own software and search engine. Thanks
